The above quote was probably spoken a bit too soon.  I'm back from Tennessee, which is a pretty crazy place full of silly hats and strange adventures.  As I debrief from the last few days, I will add some of the highlights.  Overall, it was a great weekend with some fun people.

I'm leaving on vacation today for the long weekend.  Therefore, this blog is on hiatus until Tuesday.  While I'm gone, please look at what I've written so far and post replies so I know there are people actually reading this.

Update from the Beach

Okay, so I've given up on the South Beach thing because it is far too dull and restrictive.  I've never done a diet and apparently am not very good at it.  Therefore, I am going to give up sugar.  Sugar is bad for me and I eat too much of it, so that makes sense.  However, it's in a whole lot of stuff, so this will be interesting.  But I'm sure it will make for happy dentist visits in the future.  For the record, sugar free chai loses something in translation.  Anyway, it will be an adventure.  Wish me luck!

Wonkybusker

I've had a couple people ask me about the name "Wonkybusker" and its origin.  Wonkybusker is actually the combination of a couple of words I picked up while living in London for a semester.  Wonky is British slang for something wobbly and unstable.  And a busker is someone who sings for change.  There are signs all over the Underground that say "no busking."  These are two fun words and I enjoyed them.  We should use them more over here.  I've grown to really like this newly invented word and feel like it discribes me fairly well.  Therefore, it is now my blog name and with any luck, I will soon be the only result in Google under wonkybusker.  Wish me luck!

Greetings, and welcome to jessicaek.com.  Jessica is too shy to write about herself, hence this intro.  In fact, she didn't even ask me to write it.  I'm surprised she posted it.

OK, two important points.  First, this is not a porn site.  I doubt you will ever find anything of prurient interest.  I highlight this fact to cut down on unnecessary traffic and to reassure Jessica's family right off the bat.  And I don't think she's doing it to increase dating opportunities either.  At least, she didn't tell her boyfriend that part.

Second, while this is a .com, it is not a dot com, i.e., Jessica is not trying to sell you or anyone else anything.  I suppose if for some reason the site became famous she might sell advertising space, because hey, why the heck not.  For now, I believe she's losing money on it.

Jessica is just about the sweetest person in the world.  Click on some links and stuff and I bet you get a warm fuzzy.
