It's almost 2010 and we're just about ready for our party to usher in the new year. I promise not to post a picture of Loki in a silly New Year's hat.
2009 has been really good. We got a house, we adopted Loki, and started our garden. While there are things I miss about being in DC, there are many pros to being in a place where we can have guests come stay with us and where we have a yard to enjoy. Oh, and of course, I have a new nephew!
Next year also looks promising. Chris and I are already planning our trip to the Galapagos and Machu Picchu in the fall. And we're heading up to ski in Vermont this winter. I just got a bunch of new cookbooks and I'm looking forward to trying some recipes. Tonight, made lavender and honeyed pine nut ice cream.
