I miss Lauzerte. In honor of Bastille Day, and tomorrow's French themed lunch at work, I'll be making a pastis. It should be interesting. I won't be able to do it justice, but I figured I'd give it a try. :)
Last Saturday was Japanese night with the gourmet club. We rolled our own sushi, made soft shell crab tempura, and had many other yummy dishes. We had a fantastic time and can't wait for the next one! A few of the dishes even involved produce from our garden, including a zucchini and a cucumber. We've also gotten our first yellow squash and are waiting for all the green tomatoes on the vine to turn red.
