Lately, the weather has been surprisingly beautiful in Washington, DC. The sun is warm, but the breeze is cool. The colors on the trees are uncharacteristically pretty this year. The entire city is smiling and friendly after the recent election. Everyone is expectantly waiting the exit of some politicians and influx of new government officials. Crowds have dwindled since the summer and we're not geared up yet for holiday travelers, so the monuments and museums are eerily empty and peaceful. It's a nice time of year. Chris and I took a walk in Rock Creek Park today. It's easy to forget how much natural beauty there is, right inside the city limits.
