Gallery of Light

If anyone is interested in something to do in DC, stop by the new photography exhibit.  Their Gallery of Light exhibit shows photos from the mid 1850s and is really cool.  Chris and I really enjoyed it.

Evening

I'm in a bit of a melancholy mood tonight.  A classmate of mine from high school died recently.  He was 25.  How strange and how awful.  Sad.

On a much happier note, Chris is home again.  It's nice to have him back.  We went to the zoo on Monday and got some great pictures.  I'll have to post them.  Unfortunately, due to the cloud cover, we missed the lunar eclipse a couple nights ago.

I think I'll have to download WinAmp to my new laptop.   I've just been using Windows Media Player out of laziness, but for some reason shuffle on WMP does not seem to mean random.  I'm tired of having to skip through the same 20 or so songs.

Chinese New Year

Today I went out to watch the Chinese New Year parade.  I don't have Photoshop on my new laptop yet, so please forgive a few crooked shots with fuzzy heads.  I'd never been before, so it was well worth stopping by.

 

Bye Bye Chris

Once again, I'm on my own while Chris is out of the country.  Suddenly, thoughts tumble around in my head until they lose momentum, instead of being bounced off of my sounding board.  Just knowing I'll be alone for a little while puts me in a weird mood.  At least I have lots going on to keep my busy.  Still, it will be a long week.

Wine-O Forever

I don't claim to know much about wines, but a drinkable bottle of wine for under $10 is a winner in my book.  Therefore, I was very excited to find this guide of the best cheap wines.  I don't think I've tried any that he mentioned, but I will.  And I will have to find myself some Malbec wine....perhaps in France.
